Guest guest
I know TSH isn't the best barometer of the condition of your thyroid hormone levels but right now that's all my PCP is using. I may agitate for a specialist and a full panel down the line but since I've just started, I'm trying it their way for now. What I'm wondering at the moment is if my progression is normal or if I should be concerned I haven't seen more improvement. I was diagnosed two months ago with a TSH of 11.8. I was tested this week and had a TSH of 7.9. Is this a normal amount of change to see in two months? I keep reading it takes time but I was wondering if what I'm seeing is typical or not. I'm wondering how long I should wait before getting pushy with my doctor. How long did it take you to get to a TSH level of 1-2, or one that you felt happy with? I'm on 50 mcg of Levothroid. I've also recently cut out un-fermented soy and chemical sweeteners. (I used to be a diet soda junkie.) I do still have a little erythritol and stevia. I've also started supplementing with whole food vitamins and ionic minerals in addition to switching from the refined salt to sea salt. I'm trying to be patient but I'm sick of feeling like this. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Alisa
