Calcium that I have heard is that the body

sometimes directs it to the wrong part of your body. Especially for

people who are very thin and cannot gain weight. The body will

recognize this and send the calcium to your arteries causing

calcification which is a bad thing. On the other hand if your weight

is good, than the body will realize it and send the calcium to your

bones to strengthen them in order to support the weight of your body.

Anyway, to Bee and anyone else who may have heard of the calcification

issue is this something that should be worried about?

Standard Process makes a calcium called Calci-food. It is calcium/bone

broth. I know Standard Process has been brought up before and it is

definitely expensive. This leads me to wonder if one drinks a few cups

of bone broth every day do you think it is possible to get enough

Calcium just from that?

I know Bee has said that only some vitamins need to be food sourced

(i.e. Vit A and D, from oils).

Also, mostly to Bee..I know you have taught us that it is best to buy

cal-mag separately. Is this because the ratios are typically not 1:1

or is there another reason for this? Just asking cause I found a 1:1

ratio without any other junk in it. Thanks for your time! Crystal

==>Calcium calcification and deposits occurs when there is an

imbalance of minerals, and particularly when the person lacks

magnesium and injests too much calcium, i.e. antacids, as well as

lacking other minerals, omega-3, vitamins A, D & E, and " good " fats

recommended on my program. To understand more about calcification

read the book " Dead Doctors Don't Lie " by Wallach. I have the

tape and it is amazing!

==>If you make a " good true " bone broth you only need 1 cup a day.

When I have it I don't need any cal/mag supplements. Of course I

always take a good cod liver oil (omega-3, vitamins A & D) and

vitamin E along with " good " fats, ocean sea salt and good mineralized

water.

==>I recommend buying them separately for 3 reasons: 1) most cal/mag

supplements contain incorrect ratios, 2) some contain " other "

nutrients that are unnecessary, i.e. zinc, potassium, etc., and 3)

many people will need more magnesium than calcium so it allows them

to take extra; also magnesium is great for constipation but it must

be taken separate from calcium.
