Guest guest
Hi, Another Newbie here, I'm from TN, & here we have what are called 'Pork Rinds' or " Pork Skins'. I've used them to help with hunger or just as a quick snack when I wasn't really hungry. Plus their nice & salty, crunchie. They also come in lots of flavors. Low or No carbs attatched. I'll list the Nutritiona Values. But my question? Would these be considered a 'processed' food? 1/2 oz. serving: 90 calories, 3 g. Sat. fat, O Trans fat, 15 mg Cholesterol, 300 mg Sodium, Carbs. 0, Protein 6 g. Ingredients: Fried out pork fat w/ attatched skin, salt added. They are cooked in Lard. Sorry if they sound gross, but their really great. I also use them as a breading ( crushed ) for meats that I want to give a 'fried' taste to when baked.
