Guest guest
I make bone broth soups. I usually add celery, onions and garlic in the base of these bone broths. I freeze them and add the meats and allowed vegetables. If you put about a half to one cup of bacon fat in the soup (I make a three gallon stock pot size) This gives plenty of fat and it is absolutely delicious! I use plenty of herbs and spices that are allowed. I find that I cannot sleep when I eat too many fats near bedtime. I take cal/mag and if I wake in the night I take niacin to get back to sleep. Whenever I take niacin I make sure I am well covered (during winters) as the pores are opened up and one can get chilled. When my dh had his cancer treatments I fell off the candida diet wagon. The hospital foods, where you are supposed to get healing, made me ill. I had to stay with dh for a while during chemo. I am trying to get back in the diet but find myself a bit depressed what with all I must take care of now. My dh is on oxygen 24/7 because of emphysema. I also think he will have cancer again. He drinks mainly diet colas and eats two large bags of potato chips each week. I know what the man said about having others sabotage our efforts. I am doing an overhaul of my cooking and schedule plans. I am making and freezing as many foods as I can so I will be more prepared to keep from falling away from good health. I cook many things and put them in sandwich bags, individual servings, and then place all of them into a regular freezer bag. This saves money on the more expensive bags and I have convenient servings. I am also making vegetable leather for a sometimes crunchy/chewy dessert. I use a bit of stevia in the pureed vegetables and place this in my dehydrator. A few bites gives the feeling of being able to crunch and chew and be included when others are eating the yeasty beasty desserts. Guest guest
Thank you so much for responding , I just needed a uplifting talk today! And so great to read your health is much better! >>>(....)However, this November will be a year on the diet and he is just now coming around and realizing that my health is much better than it has been...in fact just this week he has had a bad sinus infection (something I used to get monthly) and he is asking my advise on how to do nasal washes to help alleviate his stuffiness. Keep up your great progress on this new diet...your partner will soon understand!<<<
