Guest guest
Well, I guess I'll see what it's like to skip a day. Just realized I didn't take #359, and it's too late now. Good Friday everyone.
Guest guest
Of course you will let us know if you notice any changes? I skipped a dose once, accidentally, and did feel better after the next dose. Who knows, this is so confusing... ----- Original Message ----- From: LarryGC MSWatchers Cc: Spotlight_LDN ; LDN group Sent: Friday, April 09, 2004 6:42 AM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] First time I Missed a dose Well, I guess I'll see what it's like to skip a day. I find it is essential to skip doses when my leg cramps get bad. I'm only one 1.5mgs these days so it's pretty near a zero dose anyway. Guest guest
i missed 5 doses......due to (i'll be nice and say....) Confusion at Irmats Pharmacy. They never over nighted it to me (of course I paid my $25.00), and it took 5 days for them to finally "Unconfuse" themselves and send it to me. That happened twice. That was my REAL TEST of LDN~! After the second nite, without it, I started feeling pretty close to what I felt before......MS Pain! I felt as if my body was headed for a mild relapse. I don't think I felt much of a difference the first day, but the days that followed, well, I wasn't happy being off it! But, that made me realize everything positive the LDN is doing for me, and will NEVER miss so many nites again....(nor do i get my scripts sent to me by Irmats either!) Guest guest
Does anyone know exactly what Dr. Lawrence recommends? Months ago I also heard a formula that was some number of days on 4.5, some number of days on 3 and some number off. Does anyone know that one? Guest guest
Larry, Did you know that Dr Lawrence in the UK (a Doctor who himself has MS and takes LDN), recommends stopping the LDN periodically? I don't know exactly why, but I think he believes that the body develops an accomodation to it and this needs to be controlled. I can't speak for Dr Lawrence and what he himself does but I think he says to stop LDN for maybe a night or two every couple of weeks or even once a month. --- In low dose naltrexone , " LarryGC " <larrygc@s...> wrote: > Well, I guess I'll see what it's like to skip a day. Guest guest
Yes, I know. So far I haven't noticed much different. At 9am I realized I didn't take it. Guess this will be a good test to see how I am as the day goes on, and how I feel tomorrow. Dr. Bihari says there is no accomodation, it's gone within 6 hours. ----- Original Message ----- From: lbl2669 low dose naltrexone Sent: Friday, April 09, 2004 14:24 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: First time I Missed a dose Larry,Did you know that Dr Lawrence in the UK (a Doctor who himselfhas MS and takes LDN), recommends stopping the LDN periodically?I don't know exactly why, but I think he believes that thebody develops an accomodation to it and this needs to be controlled.I can't speak for Dr Lawrence and what he himself does butI think he says to stop LDN for maybe a night or two everycouple of weeks or even once a month. Guest guest
I had that same problem last week. I ordered my prescription the Friday before. Thought that I had plenty of time to get it. By the following Wednesday it hadn't come so I called and they said that they sent it last Friday when i called. The next day ( Thursday) I still didn't get it so I called cause I only had one more capsule. I told them to ship it over night. I got it the next day. I still haven't received the one that they said that they sent. So I guess that they never did send it. I already knew what it was like to go without cause I had forgotten one night and felt awful. Like a truck ran me over. Hope I never have to do that again. Bob Lawrence has suggested various different ways of taking LDN. They are all about avoiding accommodation and so maintaining the maximum benefits for the longest time. The half life is much longer than six hours, it takes quite a few days to get out the system. Of course, the amount is tiny but some people only need a trace to develop the problems associated with accommodation. Steve
