Hi Kathy,

I had heard that the statins may help quite a bit...I think a study was done in CA a year or so ago. I wanted to try it but my cholesterol is on the low side of normal, doc wouldn't even consider it. ...Arleen

taking it before LDN. I wonder if the 2 together gave me such good

results.

Sheila,

I am PPMS. Can't walk at all. I've never taken the baclofen for a couple of reasons: first, a woman who has since passed and had PPMS told me that she took the baclofen to prevent spasms, but the downside was that her legs deteriorated in the process. Second, a former physical therapist told me that the way baclofen worked was by destroying the tissue and eventually there would be nothing to have pain or spasms in! From the looks of the first woman's legs, the second theory sounded completely possible! The womans legs had withered away to nothing! Anyway, this helped me make up my mind to NOT take baclofen. I suppose it works for some, considering how different this disease is from one person to the next, but my choice was to not take it.

Sheila, have you tried low dose naltrexone? You might be able to completely eliminate the baclofen. The website to vist is www.low dose naltrexone.org

Good Luck.
