Guest guest
LDN should not interfere with any cholesterol lowering drugs and most of us feel so much better while taking ldn that antideprssants are unnessary. There are no withdrawl symptoms when we quit using except that our symptoms will return and that is depressing. Moreso it is depressing to see people with ms that won't even give ldn a try as there nuero's say it won't work! IT DOES WORK how many more people have to be on the rocks so to speak before mainstream dr.s recognise this. Good luck in your quest Vicki, if you want me to call you Friday Ok. Good Luck Friday. Please help, im new, and hello to allIm Vicki (Friday prefered)female, 35 - MS sufferer - seeking a way to get a doctor or neuro in sydney to prescribe LDN to me. I realise that, also, reliable and accurate compounding pharmacists are hard to find - but does anyone here know of any? I already asked my doctor who looked at me as if it were illegal or something sinister. Neuro's think its hogwash - but not all from the posts I read. But apart from a woman who lives in Melbourne, I dont know of any here in Sydney. Also, as I am currently taking lioresal, anti-depressants and cholesterol lowering drugs, I wonder how LDN interacts? For those of you who have stopped taking LDN at some stage, are there withdrawal symptoms?Advise? Help? Link to a list of reputable compounders and broad-minded GP's in Sydney anyone?Cheers, and keep the posts coming, they are very informative.Friday ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
hey friday kell here in sydney you need to print out reports on ldn (off this site-positive ones would help) and find a very modern forward thinking Dr and show them your evidence of others on LDN- I did but mine swore me to secrecy as she didnt want a 1000 MSers on her door shes has such a full patient schedule now-sorry. In australia LDN prescribed in 50 mg tabs (I have to chop up- difficult to get 3 mg believe me)- for alcohol abuse problem only or can be prescribed for also that you have been abstinent from alcohol but now crave it badly again and had prior problem - it is on PBS for $3.60 for 30 50 mg tabs which would last you for ages. If you cant find a cool doc maybe you could say you have a alcohol problem and have heard about naltrexone can be used to stop problem-a little white lie? this is what it may have to come to to get a script here-(so weird about anything untrialled here very strict- I have had positive results I feel after one week on it only- dont give up - keep trying docs (forget neuros wont prescribe for MS without trial)- and such a low dose totally harmless-I pushed that point and Dr agreed and I said I have nothing to lose-PLEASE!!!!!!!!!and she also agreed and prescribed - pharmacies carry naltrexone - Soul patterson chain do in 50 mg naltrexone - It is ok with copaxone but betaferons really do the opposite of LDN so think about that too hope that helps friday - be persistent - I was and success!....where there's a will you know.... kellie from sydney Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: " Friday " <paraschick@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 10:34 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] LDN Doctors in Sydney Australia??? > Please help, im new, and hello to all > > Im Vicki (Friday prefered)female, 35 - MS sufferer - seeking a way to > get a doctor or neuro in sydney to prescribe LDN to me. Guest guest
to kellie from sydney Australia It is easy to divide a 50 mg tab in half, crush it, dilute it water measured with a dropper or syringe, and then use the dropper or syringe to measure out your nightly dose. 25 mg in water lasts at least a week, and it works fine.
