Guest guest
I've had some similar experiences. The ankle I twisted a few years ago became sore, then achy, then itchy, and was even a little puffy for a while. My left knee was kicked by a horse about 10 years ago and became pretty uncomfortable for a couple of days. Who knows. Is it possible that our immune systems are addressing areas where the job was not really completed after the original injury? Is it possible that our immune systems are recognizing unfinished business? I've got a place on my lower left rib cage that I injured playing golf (probably because a " swing and a miss " is normal in baseball but not expected in golf?). It was sore for nearly a year, now it's been bothering me for 2 or 3 weeks. This is weird. Anybody else doing similar things? Guest guest
Just wait til you start feeling like you were just born, then you'll be OK. LOL Sounds like what many of us have gone through. I guess it's not just our imaginations. Seems like the body revisits old wounds in reverse order. Pretty neat, huh? I started last April, it's now Day #369 for me. Last year I started having symptoms I felt in 2002 and they went away, then 2001 and they went away, then 2000 and they went away. Then I had some pains in my groin that I thought maybe I upset my hernias, but then after I got symptoms from my 1998 flare I realized that my hernia was caused and discovered in 1999! The hernia has nothing to do with MS and I didn't realize it until my 98 symptoms appeared that every symptom I experienced WAS indeed in REVERSE order of appearance! Who said the body doesn't remember? Or maybe it wakes up old wounds and tries to fix them according to age, starting with the most recent? I don't think they're side-effects, I think it's the body healing. I can still remember the first time I got pins and needles in my hand, I was like "WHAT'S THIS?" something I hadn't felt in years! Then I realized my body was just reacting to normal stimuli... I was leaning on my hands and apparently I put it to sleep. I hope your healing continues ----- Original Message ----- From: pamridge49 low dose naltrexone Sent: Sunday, April 18, 2004 22:55 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] side-effects? OK, all,I've got a strange one for you herel, this time. From the beginning of starting LDN (about 2 1/2 mos ago) I have said that taking the LDN has made my MS go "backwards", for lack of a better word. It's almost as though it has re-created previous exacerbations which only last for a day or so, and following that "mini" exacerbation, I find that I have some "new" positive change.Well, here's what happened this morning. I woke up to find my ankle itching (while I was still in bed, I found myself scratching at it). Initially, I thought that maybe I might have gotten poisen ivy, because I had been working in the garden yesterday. Once I got up, I realized that the spot that was itching, was a buterfly tatoo above my ankle, that I had gotten two years ago. After realizing what I was scratching, I stopped; in a little while the itching stopped, but the whole butterfly tatoo was "sore"; almost like I had just had it done yesterday.....then, the entire butterfly, seemed to "swell", again, almost as though I had just had it done. Tonight it is still sore and slightly swolen...........Now is this just another occurance of things "moving backward" through time....my feeling a pain that I might not have fully felt when I had the tatoo done?Anyone got any guesses on this one? Guest guest
I hope you're right Larry! If that be the case, I was feeling really crappy before a lot of the symptoms set in, right before the dx of ms. A real rundown feeling, like either a really bad cold/flu plus all the sinus congestion. Well, that's how I'm feeling now, just plain rundown. I can force myself up and get on with the day, but if I don't (force myself) then I sleep a lot, which is what I've done for the past 3-4 days. And I did a lot of sleeping back then, 3-5 hour naps, or sleep for 2-2 & 1/2 days straight. Hopefully all this Yuck will go away soon, and I'll be good as new??? :-) I wish! I've been feeling really good for quite some time now, up until the middle of last week that is, and that's when everything came crumbling down. A return of some dizziness, balance not quite so sure. My night vision was getting better, since I've been taking the bilberry w/lutein like Noland suggested. But tonight out trying to walk my dog, (have a puppy now for company) without any light, vertigo to the max. The only other thing I noticed was a feeling like someone had stuck ice picks in my kidneys. Maybe the back strain is coming back to haunt me as well. If it's not gone in a day or so, I'll go see the witch doctor, or maybe my primary care physician instead. <grin> Here's hoping you continue to heal and Pam as well!!! Have a Great Day! Guest guest
Do you go to chiropractors? They've been helping me with all my issues all along. ----- Original Message ----- From: jsgarvin low dose naltrexone Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 01:26 Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] side-effects?
