Guest guest
I called Dr. Bhari's office and he set up a telephone conference for me - if you call him maybe he can do the same for you(his number is on the LDN website). Guest guest
Roy, Most people find LDN increases stiffness - hopefully you'll fall into the small groups whose stiffness LDN helps with. logansonnewland wrote: > Has anyone had any success controlling very severe spasticity by > using LDN? -- . ,-._|\ Covington / Oz \ \_,--.x/ v

Guest guest
Hi Tom.. Dr. Warren is my doctor as well he prescribed naltrexone for me a couple months ago. I took him in all the info from the ldn info site.. at that point he only had one patient on it and was just starting to prescribe it... glad to hear it's spreading.. Have you been a patient of his for long? I'm also on Copaxone.. Nicky ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom low dose naltrexone Sent: Saturday, April 24, 2004 12:11 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] LDN Hi Nicky from Edmonton, Small world isn't it? I have Dr. Warren for my MS Dr. According to his nurse, he has started prescribing LDN to his patients just recently. I just got my appointment changed - by his nurse - from October to May 11. So I guess I will find out more then. I am afraid I don't know anything about those other two drugs you mentioned. Tom Tomcat
Guest guest
Hi Nicky, I've been with Dr. Warren for about 5 years. I have PPMS, and thank God it is progressing very slowly. The fatigue is the worst thing. Wipes me out for days at a time. Lots of pain in my legs, but can still walk. Right now I am not on anything specifically for MS - just sleeping pills, anti depressent. I quit taking Baclofen - it didn't seem to make much difference whether I took it or not. So how are you making out on the Naltrexone?? I am anxious to hear. Guest guest
Hi Tom, I've been with Dr. Warren for just over a year.. they think I'm still R & R.. but lately it's been pretty consistent.. I just quit baclofen yesterday.. I read so much about it causing people problems and my legs don't spas all that often.. I recently went from 3.0 to 4.5 and most of the stiffness went away at the higher dose.. this is only my second month on ldn and I'm doing much better on balance and energy so I'm thrilled and hoping it keeps getting better..!! Guest guest
Hey all on this site, I've been watching the board for a few weeks now (Quietly) I've been DX for six years now with RRMS. Nothing to bad that I can't live with it, but why should I have to, right? After my new appearence by Captain MS I've decided to see what was out there in forms of treatment .Cause I'm just tired of being tired. hence my foray into LDN Land, Or should I say the LDN " bus " . I'm currently waiting to see a new MS Expert, That my Neuro is referring me to Because He's never heard of LDN, so he'd like a second opinion. To me that's good news because I haven't heard a NO yet. So I'll have to wait 2 more months for that appoinment. But anyway has anyone (particularly the anonymus college student, Tom P. and Yash) thought about finding a " backdoor " to this LDN thing. I was discussing this with a friend and she suggested researching other drugs that were FDA approved for one use, but got approval for other uses without going thru clinical trials simply because there were no ill effects from using it at a lower dosage. Similar to the movie Lorenzo's Oil. The kid was sick, no dr would prescribe the oil so they made it at home? but they went thru a " backdoor " directly to the president for further research after the kid died.( don't quote me on this I didn't see the movie I will soon though.) Just something to think about! thought I should let you all know I was here. There could be more out there just listening. But I'll say this, you are all very encouraging without even knowing it. God Bless you all Elaine
Guest guest
many of us went through the 'back door' to get our ldn rx. My neuro never heard of naltrexone for ms, but went to the www.ldninfo.org site. She told me if she had ms she would want to be on it....then the lawyers from her medical group said she could not prescribe it for me. Lawyers determining my health. She is still my neuro, monitoring me while I am on the ldn. I called the nearest recommended compounding pharmacy and asked for Drs who would precribe this. The next day I had an appt and my rx... I am glad to be on ldn. It is the best thing yet!! Doctors who have prescribed LDN. Some of these will do it over the phone charging a consultation fee. Guest guest
Elaine I think we actually mean to be encouraging as this stuff realy works, hence the survey that is going around if you havn't allready been to the site I advise you do as this may get ldn. in a drug store near you faster than anything else, I was just there and we are very close to 4000 signatures. I found it at MSNGroups M.S. friends. Good luck in your quest to a better life. Guest guest
Congrads to the new woman in you!!!! Maybe the "speed" your feeling is the energy you haven't had in the past 5 yrs! are you still taking all the prescribed meds AND Avonex witht the LDN??? I was thinking maybe, if you're on the meds and LDN, that could be what you're feeling as well. I didn't know you could take Avonex and LDN together, thought it was just Copaxone. I just learned something new!!! Anyway, its great to hear you are doing so well.
