Guest guest
, Thanks for your input. I did take Avonex for 2 years. Then I had the worst exacerbation that I've ever had since my dx in 1993.I've been off Avonex for 1 year and am slowly deteriorating( no wheelchair, but a cane and lots of fatigue)I had an mri a month ago, and it looked bad. Lots of new activity. Thats why my neuro wanted me back on a crab.I happened to read about ldn while surfing the web and was able to get a scrip.I've been on it about 1 month.I can't tell much yet(4.5mg).My neuro says stuff to me like "you are letting the disease take over. You have to fight back!" So I'm trying copaxone.I was going to try Rebif until I read all the negative posts on it here. In fact I have the starter dosage for the first month sitting in my fridge. What a waste! So actually I have given ldn a month without a crab drug. I've also ordered 3 more months supply yesterday from Skips. I will keep on it! Thanks, ldnuser -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 20:22:28 low dose naltrexone Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] ldn and copaxone ldnuser, "Just my experience" But Rebif was my worse nightmare. That was my breaking point in finding another solution, I've now been on LDN for close to 3 months and what a relief. Give it a try by itself for a while before deciding to take another CRAB drug. If you talk to Dr. B, he believes LDN alone is worth a try. Good luck! P.S. Guest guest
Hi Kiki, I'm worried that if (when) I start to feel better, I won't know if it's the ldn or copaxone!I don't start the copaxone for another week.I've been on the ldn for 1 month so far, with little noticeable results. -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 21:40:56 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] ldn and copaxone Rebif was my worst nightmare too! Used for 1 1/2 yrs thinking it was a miracle drug and felt and got worse. This drove me to LDN. I would have stopped using Rebif even if I did not find LDN . Only come in contact with Copaxone and LDN users. The others on RABs won't even consider the ldn. Don't know why, they don't seem to be doing too well since I have known them(3 yrs). The Copax users with LDN took longer to see a difference but do see one and are very pleased. 1 is considering stopping Copaxone, the others are afraid too, understanably. Guest guest
, Sounds like you have a plan mapped out. After 23yrs with MS, I've found with the combination of good health care to yours mind and body along with a preventative med like ldn (or Copax / ldn) you can't go wrong. A positive attitude plays a big role as well! Good luck, sounds like your on the road to success!
