coconut butter

Hi Bee,

Was wondering if you or others have used Artisan's Coconut Butter.

Before I found your group I was using it, it is the whole coconut

ground up into a butter and is quite delicious. Would this be

acceptable on the diet?

+++Hi Dudley. No, that is not the correct stuff. It shouldn't be a

butter. It should be unrefined virgin or extra virgin coconut oil

that is cold- or expeller-pressed, and undeodorized and unbleached.

All coconut products contain caprylic acid since it is a natural

substance in it - it doesn't state it on the label anymore than

butter labels state that is contains butyric acid.

Where do you live? Maybe other group members can help you find the
