Guest guest
Hi Rob, Yeah, tongue numb, taste off. For myself, just figured it was yet " another " thing with the ms. If felt numb sometimes as well, like getting a shot of Novocain from the Dentists' office or something similar. Face, various body parts numb, so had to be careful when I was working so I wouldn't injure myself and not feel it. Welcome to the club! :-) A lot of really nice people here with a lot of " history " of ms symptoms/problems etc., with a wealth of information to share, so don't be shy about asking any questions. If someone has had something similar happen, almost all of them seem to be willing to share and encourage one another which is really neat. Again, welcome to the group. Guest guest
Rob, Yes, it sounds like an MS symptom, but with the metallic taste, I'm wondering about heavy metal toxicity. You might check into this avenue along with some chelation. Marcie (PPMS) In a message dated 4/29/2004 12:52:55 AM Central Standard Time, jsgarvin@... writes: Hi Rob, Yeah, tongue numb, taste off. Guest guest
Hi, I also had altered taste for my main symptom that got me to a neuro. It went away when I changed my diet.I found my system was very acidic. I detoxed and now I am a vegetarian organic, no dairy or meat diet Just fish fruit, nuts veggies and purified water. I still sneak an occasional bit of choc and sprite. It took alot of symptoms away but the best was that taste or lack of was gone. I have been on ldn for two weeks. I have had dry mouth, flushing and those peculiar feelings of past ailments or injuries. I can relate to those who have written about they feel their bodies are repairing old health issues. My Dr. had me tested for heavy metals and is suggesting chelation for me.He's had me on HGH(human growth hormone) for about 6 months now with no reults and he thinks it's not working because of heavy metals in my system.I don't know anything about chelation. ldnuser, -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Thursday, April 29, 2004 08:07:39 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Crazy Symptom? Guest guest
I have had chelation treatments in the past, and I know that it is a good thing. I did them after having my amalgam fillings (3) removed. After about one year I discontinued the treatments because of travel needs and finances, but if I could, I would still try to do some. The metals can be embedded so deeply in the cells that it can take a while to start moving them out of the body. Guest guest
: I saw your email today and wanted to offer you some information on Chelation and heavy metal detox. I am brand new to the group so my information hasn't been added as a link to the group. We offer LDN of course, but also are a state and national recourse for heavy metal detox medications as well as chelation and anti-oxidant meds. If you would like some info to share with your doctor, just forward me your mailing address and I will send the info to you. Guest guest
, Since I had to travel 5 hours away for treatments, I did about once per month. Sometimes twice. It was about $80.00 per treatment. It was an IV drip, and it took about 4 hours. I did feel good after doing the Hydrogen Peroxide/Ultraviolet treatments. I really didn't notice feeling any different after chelation, unless going to the restroom alot means something! I wasn't on LDN at the time. I know about the money situation!
