Guest guest
I took allergy shots for 2 years because my neuro said my immune system was overburdened fighting my allergies. The allergies are mostly under control now.I say mostly because I live in one of the allergy capitals of the US...Austin, TX. This is a bit off the subject (of allergies), but I'm curious if anyone experiences short periods of complete remission...like an hour or two.I usually walk with a cane and drag my leg, but many nights at about 9-9:30 pm,I have a spontaneous remission and can walk as if I've never had MS.I fly around my house footloose and fancyfree, until I go to bed. I always wake up with MS in the morning.Maybe my natural endorfins are starting to kick in at that hour, giving me a break from the ms ball and chain! -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Friday, April 30, 2004 22:04:21 low dose naltrexone Subject: [low dose naltrexone] LDN for allergy ? Guest guest
Hi Yash, My allergies had " seemed " to have gone away, but whatever is out there now is really making them act back up. I'm below Fresno, Ca. In the San Joaquin Valley. Air pollution is also increasing here. sigh. Guest guest
, I usually feel best in the evening, no idea why. I still have symptoms, but overall in the evening I'm stronger and just plain better. ----- Original Message ----- From: low dose naltrexone Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 8:28 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN for allergy ? Guest guest
, I'm glad to hear someone else senses that evening strength. I think it must have something to do with these"evening endorfins" starting to fire up.Have you ever mentioned it to your Dr? -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Friday, April 30, 2004 23:21:17 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN for allergy ? , I usually feel best in the evening, no idea why. Guest guest
another treatment for seasonal allergies is bee pollen. You get it from a beekeeper in your area or from a health food store. To find a beekepper in your area just check out the name and address on the honey jars in health food stores. Because pollen comes from your area it can help greatly reduce or eliminate seasonal allergies. You start taking it very slowly 1 to 3 grains a day and increase gradually for a month or 2 until you reach 1 to 2 teaspoons three times a day. You should start in the winter . this helps your systeme build a resistence. --------------------------------------------------- > From: " yashagrawal " <yashagrawal@y...> > <low dose naltrexone > > Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 8:04 PM > Subject: [low dose naltrexone] LDN for allergy ? > > > > I have had strong seasonal allergies. Guest guest
No, , I haven't. I'm seeing him next Wednesday for a follow up, will probably share all kinds of info with him then. He prescribed the LDN because it would do no harm, and he was impressed with my strength gain four weeks later, but the last eight weeks I've had so many odd ball things going on I really don't know whether I'm doing better or not. The LDN caused stiffness is driving me nuts! And hot flashes have become the norm, not an occasional event but an off and on all day and night annoyance. I'm sure he'll want to offer estrogen, which I'm not gung ho about... Bottom line, he had never heard of LDN, so anything I tell him that's related to LDN will be as much a puzzle to him as to the rest of us. Now the hot flashes, he probably hears about hot flashes all day long every day! ----- Original Message ----- From: low dose naltrexone Sent: Saturday, May 01, 2004 5:49 AM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN for allergy ? , I'm glad to hear someone else senses that evening strength.
