Guest guest
Sherry Happy Birthday to Jaimie. It's 's Birthday too today the 8th. He's 14 and I sure hear you about not believing they've made it this far. He, like Jaimie have come through all the struggles to survive and have made it, although I didn't think I would through some of it. I can only say it's been quite a ride and as hard as it's been, It's only brought us to a closeness that only we parents can understand. I can only hope that the worst is behind us, but if not, we'll deal with it. Happy Birthday Jaimie.

Guest guest
Thank you for the information, Louise. I am finding it amazing how individual this disease is and how different things work for different people to varying degrees, including the CRABs. Is the name of the publication you mentioned " Scientist " or " New Scientist? " I am interested in checking out the article you mentioned. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Guest guest
In a message dated 5/1/2005 11:06:15 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Coconut Oil writes: Also, I have been recently diagnosed with a carbuncle. My doctor believes this will resolve with the natural estriol cream that she prescribed. I am also just starting to apply VCO mixed with a little tea tree oil. Do you know of anyone who has been helped for this with VCO? Dear Donna, Tea tree oil can successfully clear up a boil or carbuncle without the use of any prescription medication. You can mix it with coconut oil (which is an excellent carrier oil) or jojoba for best results. Try about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon tea tree oil in 1 to 2 teaspoons carrier oil, and apply generously. They don't have to be mixed, just put both items in your palm and use. It also helps to apply a dusting powder, such as corn starch or a talc-free bath powder, to the area to keep it dry. Depending on where the carbuncle is, consider replacing synthetic fabrics with 100-percent cotton. Also, tight clothing can contribute to boils and carbuncles. The condition is caused by a staph infection. Staph cells thrive in warm, moist environments. To clear up the problem and prevent a recurrence, apply diluted tea tree oil several times a day, always following with a moisture-absorbing powder, and keep the area as well ventilated as possible. Feel better! CJ
