These are the " official " FDA ingredients: Name (T3/T4 per tablet) Color Thyrolar-1/4 3.1 mcg/ 12.5 mcg Violet/White Thyrolar-1/2 6.25 mcg/ 25 mcg Peach/White Thyrolar-1 12.5 mcg/ 50 mcg Pink/White Thyrolar-2 25 mcg/ 100 mcg Green/White Thyrolar-3 37.5 mcg/ 150 mcg Yellow/White According to this, one grain of Thyrolar also has 50 mcg of T4 for a total equivalent activity of 100 mcg of Synthroid. That seems high. Armour is about 38 mcg of T4 for a total equivalent of 60 mcg. So, adding 1/2 grain at noon would be the minimum equivalent of jumping Synthroid by 30 mcg (or 50 mcg, if the FDA is right). Either way, I would suggest cutting it to 1/4 grain first. Then, you might try alternating, 1/2 one day and 1/4 the next. If that leaves you with symptoms and no palps, then try the full extra 1/2 every day.
