Guest guest
One vote NO rebif! Interferon's are poisons. IMHO I will be away till the fifth doing a pottery show with my wife, the potter. Before LDN this would be impossible, will still be hard, hell the shows were hard when I was well. Wish me luck Y'all, off to Nashville. Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad you realized the Avonex was not doing the job. Why not give the ABCR drugs a break for a while only taking LDN. If you then feel you must continue an additional med. Copaxone is the drug that is most compatible with LDN. Hope this helps. My neuro wants me on rebif, but I want to take copaxone because I read that it interferes the least with ldn. What is your experience? ldn user ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
This might be me you are refering to, as I remember posting that I was continuing with Avonex, since starting LDN 2/26/2004. Just last week I had a weird reaction the day after the Avonex shot, hands went week, walking worsened. Ive though about the conflict theory Ive read regarding the use of both, and now I'm ready to go solo with just the LDN. I will post after several weeks how it is going. Regarding Copaxone, if you are going to do one of the ABCRs, that one is milder in reactions than the inteferons. I was on Copaxone for 5 years and it help me pretty stable. Then I slid badly in 2002, went on Naltrexone (nearly killed me!), then Avonex since August. The LDN is the only thing that has ever given me such immediate and lasting improvement, which is why I am willing to try it alone. Good luck with your decision! --- In low dose naltrexone , " " <cindyyoung@a...> wrote: > to the person who is taking avonex and ldn,do you still take avonex and the > ldn together?I took avonex for 2 years and worsened. Guest guest
I have just started LDN and wondered if anyone in the UK is using it. I paid £190 for 100 1.5mg tablets and wondered if this was about right. I would like to know how I should be monitoring this drug and things to look out for. I am on day 3. regards Pat ( Scotland)
Guest guest
Hi Pat, Re- price of LDN in UK: I think that you were ripped off ! -I took my script to the local pharmacy, ( 4.5mg.LDN, 100caps.) they wanted about £243! So I took the script back & faxed it to Irmat Pharmacy, New York. The total cost from Irmat`s, including import VAT & postage was about £85! (Of course, exchange rates vary slightly from day to day.) You may recieve suggestions to get it from Skip`s Pharmacy, Florida: -Another source with a good reputation whose prices are considerably lower still. -I tried phoning Dr.Skip (a nice guy!) but unfortunately, he informed me that he is only allowed to send LDN out of the US if it is on a script from a US doctor: Pity that, unless you want to pay to get a script from a US Doc! IRMAT PHARMACY: phone -212-685-0500 fax -212-532-6596 I haven`t answered the second part of your query, re. monitoring etc. as you may get a number of responses to that! -If you don`t, or if you want to hear about my experiences & thoughts on LDN after 9 wks. (varying dosages etc.) please e-mail me at: grollason@... It`s working for me! The Copaxone may be making you worse. Where are you getting your LDN and what is the filler in your capsules. Have you tried liquid LDN?
