I tried Bernie Alpert in SF and his office was very rude and unhelpful. They wouldn't answer any questions about whether he does en bloc or capsulectomy procedures unless I came in and paid the $100 for a consult.

I had excellent results with Ed Melmed in Dallas, and he is reasonable. I've also heard great things about Huang. Be prepared to plunk down a chunk of change for any good surgeon. Sadly, it costs to have this done right.

Wow...thanks for the info! I had found Dr. Alpert on another site but

no one had actually gone to him and had surgery. Even though he is

much closer to me, I decided I wanted a Dr. whom everyone recommends.

I won't waste my time calling his office. Sorry to hear that they were

so rude to you. I work in healthcare so I understand how bad many

office's can be.

Yes, I know it will cost a lot but it will be so worth it!
