Guest guest
When I was 5, I fell on my face. Go ahead, laugh, it sounds funny that way, doesn't it. I was climbing a fence/gate and jumped off it banging my nose into the cement floor. Deviated septum ever since, and 25 years of problems stemming from it, and apparently another 14 years of residuals. When I was 8 or 9 someone hit me in the back of my head with lineolium being used as a frisbee. Can't count how many car accidents I had, or stress related incidents, but my 1981 mystery problem (which now glares as an MS exacerbation) seem to have had multiple triggers, or maybe all combined, of stress and an impacted wisdom tooth. 1993 was a subconscious stress event which may have triggered my 1993 flare. 1994 I was in a bus accident which may have been the trigger to what followed that year. The annual flares from then on were triggered with by physical events or allergic reactions. I was also born with SBO in my L5. Looking back over the last 39 years, given all that's taken place, given all I've been through, or rather, all I've LIVED through, I really have to have nothing but Thanks that I'm still able to do all that I can do. I can no longer do some things like I used to, but given all I can do, what I still have far outweighs my losses. Especially since starting LDN. I guess everything is relative. I'm still recognizing and remembering exacerbations from years gone by. Was talking with 2 friends last week and something came up making me realize 1978 was an exacerbation, triggered by cocoa! I woke up one morning with chicken pox type markings (but not itchy) SYMETRICALLY on my whole body. If I had one on my right pinky between my knuckle and nail, it was on my left pinky in the SAME spot. I had them in many spots, each one totally mirrored on the other side. I knew it was an allergic reaction back then, but the reaction and symptoms seem to be MS related. The more I talk with people, the further back in time I seem to go recalling MS Related symptoms. My first car accident was in 1977. I'm sure there's many factors, but some common things seem to bring out flares and symptoms. I don't think they CAUSE the MS, they just upset the MS's apple cart.
