Guest guest
Doug, your unmitigated joy gave me an idea...folks, there's a new poll about pred I created today. Maybe it's not very inventive, but it made me feel good just to check the boxes. Can you believe that it may be possible that we could give up pred altogether except for every once in a while? We should write a book or something. If nothing else, we should all be in one of those commercials for drug research, eh? Addy
Guest guest
Addy, Love the suggestion of being in a commercial! It could be like one of those allegra commercials, you know, Doug on a windsurfer surfing through a field of daisies, Doug and his wife holding hands and running in slow motion, Doug in a sun dress swinging on a tire swing while the dog plays in the yard, etc., etc. <VBG> Just teasing, Doug. You know we love you. Greg > Doug, your unmitigated joy gave me an idea...folks, there's a new > poll about pred I created today. Guest guest
This is TOO funny! Especially because I hate (underline and italicize) that singulair commercial with the girl who goes to visit her boyfriend's family farm (please, she doesn't even have allergic circles under her eyes) AND the zyrtec commercial: " indoor and outdoor allergens. " They should be sued for bogus advertising. I envision a commercial with Greg holding up his albuterol inhaler: " Do you have to carry this with you EVERYWHERE you go? " Doug with a bottle of pred: " Tired of fighting the side effects of prednisone? " Someone else with a nebulizer: " Tired of having to take a second bag on trips just for your asthma meds? " Someone else: " Feel like you singlehandedly keep Puffs in business? " and so on. Better yet, we should be a magazine ad, with us on one side of the page and all the meds we don't need all the time on the other side, and Xolair standing in between us. Something like that. I'm having a setback this week. May have to get some Advair 500 to make it through. I'll let y'all know. I know it's just because EVERYTHING is blooming all at once here in NC. OH - took some long- acting sudafed for the first time in three months. Made me feel a little fuzzy. Guess I lost my tolerance to it! HA HA HA, HEE HEE HEE! Guest guest
Hi Addy, But, I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling too good this week. The weather did change here in NY also, that is why I had to go back and get the Xolair shot again. I hope you get back to your regular self real soon. Doug & Addy, do you mind if I pose some questions at the group to judge who is suffering from what, what medication they took, etc, similar questions. It is just as a means for all of us to judge our progress and get more users talking? FYI - If anyone wants to stop taking it for some reason, and their doctor says you may have side effects, well I am living proof that nothing happened. I was off it for over 1 month with no side effects. Lol!, but I am glad I just came back on it again as I was doing worse without it. Guest guest
Addy, Are you in marketing? I really like the idea of the Xolair magazine spread. Actually, I consider my albuterol inhaler something between a ball- and-chain and a scarlet letter 'A'. I didn't realize you were in North Carolina, too. We were in Greensboro for Easter - our grey car was green with pollen. My folks are in Hickory, and it's bad there, too. So far the mountains are ok but with a few days of rain everything is starting to come out. At least the rain clears the air for awhile. Greg > This is TOO funny! Guest guest
Not in marketing, but not unfamiliar with it. Yep, I live for NC pollen. I'm over here on the coast, so I have mold to contend with too. Just a glutton for punishment.

No matter where I live, the locals always say " this area is the worst in the country for allergies. " I wonder what they will say in Arizona where it's supposed to be allergy free? hehehe Doug
