GREAT My asthma is about the same. Peak flows remain the same but I AM down to 10 mg on the pred per day. My new office is in an old building and is very dusty. sigh! I am back on allegra every day because of it. I will be getting back on regular allergy shots next month. This ought to help too. I am glad my allergist is LOCAL now also Doug
Guest guest
This month has been a great month for me, despite the significant pollen counts and weird weather. I was in Florida last week on business, and went outside and jogged / walked about 2-1/2 miles. Can't remember the last time I did that! I also noticed that my asthma symptoms have been a lot better this month than last. I have been giving myself Xolair shots for two months, and the first time they sent it to my house but FedEx wouldn't release it without a signature. By the time I got it the next day, it was cool, but no longer cold. That month my symptoms were worse and my peak flows were down. This past month I had the Xolair delivered to my office where I kept it cold. This month my symptoms were better. I am wondering if the delay in delivery and lack of temperature control resulted in less effectiveness of the Xolair. Meanwhile, I have cut back to 15 mg of prednisone on alternate days, from 20 mg 4x weekly. I have not noticed any significant negative change to my asthma. If this is still the case after my next shot, I will cut it back to 10 mg. Clear breathing. Greg
