But I'm also trying to remain hopeful and wildly optimistic, since the end-of-winter pain and headache has really been pulling me down. One thing I am not letting myself even consider is the possibility that the shot could give me a headache. If I don't banish that thought - even though it's a real possibility - I'll chicken out. Of course, time will tell.... Joyce
Guest guest
Joyce, Good luck with your shots. I haven't heard about headache being a side-effect of Xolair. I personally saw benefit right away. Another side-effect that Doug and I both experienced (and is not listed as a side-effect to Xolair) was itching and acne within a few weeks of the first shot. This (for me) has cleared up and has not been a problem since. There has been one person that I can recall posting to this group that did NOT receive benefit from Xolair. She was a borderline asthmatic to start with and decided she was better off without it. Everyone else that I can remember has seen improvement, although as Doug mentioned, it may take longer for some people. Good luck to you. I hope all goes as desired. Greg > > Thanks, Doug. I'm still waiting for my teenage acne to disappear when I " grow up " , as everyone always promised me it would. I've been waiting for over thirty years now. <g> Man, I'm old. :-| Thanks for the words of encouragement! Since I'm already itching, maybe I won't notice the difference! Guest guest
Joyce, Mine only lasted for about two weeks and has not come back since. I called NovaFactor and asked them about it, and they said that they did not know of this as a typical side effect, and I haven't heard anyone else mention it. Greg > Oh, great. I DID have itching for the first few weeks, but it was not severs and went away Seems like they were so minor that I forgot all about it.
