Wow - 6% - I'm sorry to hear you have to have surgery and I sure hope

it helps. Here's the good news - you'll be less likely to get an

infection b/c your body isn't so debilitated by all that prednisone!

let us know how you are doing!

I had a minor medical urgency (I can't call it an emergency) when my

contact got stuck in the back of my eye today. That's happened a

few times over 20 years of wearing them, but usually the contact will

come out after 30 minutes or so. Not today. After 6 hours I went to

the eye doctor and got them to remove it. My poor eye is so

inflamed, but is not damaged! They gave me a topical steroid to put

on it through tomorrow! How's that for irony?

Take care everyone,

Addy

PS Doggy doing much better!

If it is any consolation my 75 yr old mother in law recovered really

fast from her gall bladder surgery with the new techniques; her asthma

did not even have *time* to flare.

Good luck!

Doug - I hope you feel better. Good luck on your surgery. I think we

all wish you a speedy recovery!

I must say, this year with a combination of Xolair and doing Yoga 3

times a week, is certainly helping me fight humidity! I have been

down this path so many times before, but I feel this time is

different and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it stays this way.

Does anyone know what the long term effects of taking Xolair are?

Ash

Happy breathing everyone!
