Guest guest
I got bad news today too - my insurance company has decided to contract with a different (and now the third) specialty pharmacy to get Xolair. My nurse needs to order some more for me but they will not let her do that until the contract takes effect late next week. So it's possible I will also get off my schedule as well. Doug, my nurse said that she called the Xolair line and they said that we should be ok if we're off by a week or so, but still. The nurse said that my doctor is " freaking " about me getting off schedule. Well, I have a big bottle of pred just in case and I guess I'll stick with the Advair 500 for a while. Hope your move goes well, Doug. Addy > My allergy doctor's staff didn't do all the preparation to send my > Xolair to my Family doctor's office. Guest guest
Despite the apparent benefits, it looks like the insurance companies are now playing the cost savings game (at the expense of the patient). I guess it is sort of to be expected, but one might think that the insurers would do the shopping first so as not to allow a lapse with the treatment. Sorry you guys are having so much trouble with your medical staff and insurance companies. Good luck with the move, Doug.
