Guest guest
Welcome to the group! Xolair and Singulair do not work the same way, so it really can't be said that one is better than another. Singulair is a leukotriene (sp) modifier and Xolair is an anti-IgE medication. The website for National Jewish Respiratory hospital has good explanations of what these are and what they are intended to do. That said, Xolair is for adult allergic asthmatics who have tried every other drug available, who take multiple drugs, and who still have a lot of trouble with their asthma despite compliance with their drug regimens. If you do try Xolair, you will want to stay on the Singulair until or unless your doctor says otherwise. Best of luck to you! Addy

The xolair has, but it has taken 6 months. If your doctor reccommends it, and you have good insurance, I would give it a try. It sure did help me.
