Guest guest
My first months' worth of Xolair (six vials total) was provided to me by Nova Factor. I was very impressed with the personal contact I received from them, and from the packaging of the medication. After that my insurance company contracted with a single specialty pharmacy, a different company that has a headquarters in the same state. No personal contact and packaging was minimal. I figured the second specialty pharmacy is offering my insurance company a lower price and offering me no frills. Well, this entire time (since 10/23) I haven't gotten a single statement from my insurance company which is covering my Xolair at 100% (thank you God). THis struck me as strange because every time I get an allergy shot I get a statement five days later (so I have statements coming in every week or so, as I'm sure most of you do). Well, I got my first statement reflecting Xolair today. It was for the months' worth I got from Nova Factor. Six vials (I take 2.5 vials every two weeks, so I have to have three vials of course for each dose) was $3,247.50. YIKES! That's what, $40,000 a year at that price. I can't wait to see what the difference is when I get the statement reflecting my current pharmacy's bills. Hope you're all well.
