Guest guest
I am having my gallbladder removed on Wednesday. They are going to do it lapriscopically as a same day outpatient. No big deal. I've had other operations MUCH MORE serious! I hope I will be able to drive the 11 miles to my allergist by Friday to get my Xloair shots. My asthma is doing INCREDIBLY well during all this allergy season. I am have been COMPLETELY off the Prednisone for over a month and have cut my Advair 500/50 and Pulmicort in half. I only find myself having to nebulize or use my combivent inhailer only once or twice a day. My asthma hasn't been this under this much control in YEARS! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Before the Xolair, I had to nebulize 4-6 times a day with pulmicort, albuterol (or xopenex) and atrovent, was taking 50 mg of Prednisone and Advair 500/50 twice daily. What a daily regimin. WHEW! I hope that the longer I am on the Xolair, the better I will get. October will mark one year I have been on it. I am hoping for and anxiously awaiting a day when all I will need is Xolair shots every other week so I can throw away the other medications ) Doug
Guest guest
Hi Doug, I hope your operation goes smoothly. I am glad that you are doing better. My Xolair seems to be working on my allegies, but the tightness in the chest is still there. Do you still feel this, or was this cured over time? Some have felt relief after only a shot or two. My doctor says that some people might take up to a year to feel any relief. Give it time, you will get better Ask you doctor.
