Lightning struck the house last weekend

And I have been having a hard time making sure I can connect for

tonight's chat, but it looks like I have all the kinks worked out

and will talk to you all this evening.

We're fine following the lightning strike, but some of our outlets

don't work, including the ones for the dryer and dishwasher. I

certainly don't mind doing dishes by hand, but us allergic folks

can't really dry our clothes on the line and let all the pollen get

on them, can we? Also, my laptop got fried. I have a friend who's

a computer guru and he said that he can retrieve my data even if the

laptop is totally toast, thank goodness.
