If my infection is in the beginning stages and not too serious, doctors have sometimes given me my xolair and an antibiotic. During my bout with the flu last month, NO WAY was he giving me any kind of shots! Remember, I am NOT a doctor!!! just someone who has battled infections and asthma all his life. Guest guest
I second what Doug says - no shots while infected. I'm not a doctor, those are just the rules at my doc's office. I'm not sure I totally understand your 2nd question but I can tell by how salty and " tight " my mucus is how my infection is progressing, if that makes any sense. Hope you're doing better soon, Addy -- In , " mrpooch2004 " <billpucci@c...> wrote: > Doug and all, > Is there any reason my doctor would not give me the Xolair > injections because I have an infection? Guest guest
What exactly is the criteria for not getting the shots when infected? About the " tasteing the infection " you answered the question. What I get it kind of half taste half smell as the infection sets in. I guess only people like ourselves would ever understand this concept. BP > > Doug and all, > > Is there any reason my doctor would not give me the Xolair > > injections because I have an infection? I have had minor infections before and the doctor didn't think that it would cause a problem. The ball is in his/her court. Guest guest
I received my shot today and I asked about the infection. My doctor and the novartis reps said that if the infection i.e. sinus is from the neck up they are not worried.
