Had a turn for the worse today

I got up at 6:30 am and had my usual first neb of the day right?

Well, I could tell it didn't open me up like it usually does. I ate

breakfast, showered and went to the office as usual. Well, 9 AM

rolls around and I was really getting tight. By 9:30 I couldn't stand

it any longer, I just had to neb again...this time with xopinex and

Atrovent. NOTHING! At 10 AM I nebbed again, this time with Albuterol

and Atrovent. I got just a little relef, so I immediately nebbed

again. I know that this is wrong but what was I to do? I could not

breathe!! Well, by 10:30 I was still having probs and having an

albuterol/xopinex overdose...shaking all over etc...

I called the doc and immediately got a walk in appointment with him.

He said I needed a " Jump start " of pred, so I am now back on 40 mg

again and will taper off of this high dose this next week.

I also discussed with him about my lack of improvement while on the

xolair. He said we would discuss taking me off of it after I have

been on it 6 months and still not much improvement.

I HATE PRED! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
