Guest guest
Casey, How much pred is your wife on? Do you think that the vision problem could be from the steroids? Don't get discouraged about Xolair I am just starting to see improvement at three months. Bill > > > Hi, all! > > > I'm very happy to know xolair is working for you. Guest guest
Casey, by FAR the most common cause of vision problems in asthmatics is too high a blood sugar...prednisone raises your sugar and some folks are very sensitive to it. For some folks slightly blurry vision can be the first sign of steriod induced diabetes, instead of the usual, (increased thirst or hunger, having to go to the bathroom all the time, etc.) If your wife is or has been on oral prednisone she should see her doctor about getting her blood sugar checked right away. Xolair has side effects but they are more likely to be immune type problems than other things. The good news is that blurry vision from high sugar clears up when your sugars are under control. If the blurriness is from the onset of steroid cataracts, the fix is a little bigger (surgery) but the problem can still be remedied. I regret to say I am speaking from personal experience, although I have delayed my cataract aurgery because my catacts are not directly in the line of vision so they don't bother me very much. I *can* always tell when my sugars are drifting up, however, because reaching for glasses does not work<vbg>. Good luck... > Casey, > How much pred is your wife on? Guest guest
i think doug is right. you might have actually caught a bug of some sort making you feel so flu-ish. the only reaction i had from xolair was some soreness that day at the injection site. you may want to contact your dr, let her know how you feel. i hope you feel better. heather > > Hi. Guest guest
Hi Meryl I've not had those symptoms from Xolair, but pred makes me feel that way at higher doses. Didn't realize it was the pred until I was able to decrease my dose thanks to Xolair. I always feel a little light headed after my xolair shot for about 1/2 hour, this has been getting better the more shots I have. -- - In , msbehavior@a... wrote: > > Hi.
