Headaches, tapering off pred

Joyce,

Thanks for posting. I have always had bad sinus headaches but in

June 03 I had a very serious asthma episode brought on by sinusitis

which did not respond to Zithromax--I got a BAD case of bronchitis

and took forever to get better. From then through December I got the

WORST headaches I've ever had. No OTC painkillers or combination

thereof helped. A couple of desperate times I took some meds my

husband chiropractor gave him. I was taking quite a lot of meds

during this time and I began to wonder if the headaches were related

to the meds (was not on Singulair - it doesn't work for me).

Especially wondered if frequent albuterol use was triggering the

headaches, but I couldn't breathe without the albuterol.

I'm almost at 4 months on Xolair and I've had no headache problems

since early January. This nearly ties with the length of time I have

not had to take prednisone, albuterol, or antibiotics.

I hope you get the same results with Xolair.

Doug,

I'm glad to " hear " that you are starting to taper down. Maybe the

Xolair is working and between the stress of the move and getting

sick, the flu, the cold, you had too much else going against your

immune system. Take Care!
