Guest guest
I believe someone was asking how much the cost for Xolair was. I get mine through Curascript Pharmary. http://www.curascript.com/ They report that the total cost for 4 injections (150 mg each) is $1807.25. I pay a 40.00 co payment per month. Guest guest
OK, thanks. I was going by what the nurse at my doctor's office said. Is $450 what the patient pays or what the insurance company pays? Carol MommaA wrote: Xolair is between $450 & $550 a shot, not $1,000. Guest guest
In my experience, it's $450-$550 per VIAL (retail) and I required three vials per dose (or every two weeks). What the insurance pays or the patient pays varies. My insurance company worked out a deal with one specific specialty pharmacy to where my insurance paid less closer to $400 per vial and I paid nothing. Guest guest
I get three shots every two weeks. I have to pay a $45.00 co-pay for the 4 week's supply (6 vials). Guest guest
i think the copay varies from insurance company to insurance company. i do not pay a copay for the xolair, but i am required to get the shots at my dr's office, which requires a $20 copay (soon to be $25 -- gulp!!). i just looked on my insurance company's site (empire BCBS) - for a three month supply of xolair (375 mg dose every two weeks) they pay $ 8979.61 which, if my math is right, it works out to $499 per vial.
