Guest guest
hope all goes well with pending surgeries and your shoulder Bill. DeCesari miscellany All: Some personal zapper things that might br ood interest. Had rotator cuff arthroscopic surgery last thursday. docs were going to turn off the zapper, but since they didn't use a bovie (electrical to cauterize) they didn't. No problems at all. My cardio was very content with that decision. Was done at Sequoia hospital in Redwood city, recently rated as best cardio hospital in state, but I have no idea wht the criteria were that were used. it is however the cleanest hospital I have ever been inside. Will have a mytral valve replacement in about a month. heart cath on the 6th of June and the surgery very soon afterwards. Do not know much about such surgery and effect on AICD patients, but cardio says it's pretty simple. later this year will get a new zapper. Next month will be five years and battery is low. docs say I am not a candidate for a new three lead one. Don't know how they feel about the new cheap ones that were just approved, but since I do require pacing, I doubt if I'll ever get one of those. Best. Guest guest
Joy ~ soy is an avoid for non-secretors. I think in general beans are not great for O's, especially compared with meat and fish protein. ~ are you adding lemon and/or sea salt (squeeze / pinch per quart) to your water? Just a thought that may ease your feeling like you are " forcing " yourself to drink . . . over time I've learned to detect the more subtle signs of dehydration that occur way before thirst for me . . . hence no more " forcing " :-) ~ Heidi has said quite a few times on her On The Diet column at dadamo.com that they haven't been tested and therefore can be considered neutral by healthy folks not trying to lose weight. However, you know me, I wouldn't touch unknown sweeteners with a ten foot pole! ita
Guest guest
Greetings, all. Doug, I am thrilled to hear that your peak flow has improved so much AND you've been able to lower your pred. That is just great. Can you believe it is now possible for us to imagine what it might be like to live without pred? , welcome. I hope that Xolair is able to help with your allergies and asthma. I know I've shared with everyone that I've been free of pred and antibiotics since the beginning of January and that I've been almost asymptomatic. The last 3 or 4 days I have been experiencing mild allergic symptoms. Itchy eyes and nose, some congestion and allergic eczema on my right hand. I suspect that this is a direct result from our grass beginning to grow/pollenate and my dog bringing the allergens inside. While I have returned to my regular daily allergy regimen (claritin, rescon mx, astelin and rhinocort--the latter which I did not stop taking) I have not had any lung symptoms and could certainly tolerate current symptoms indefinitely without complaint given my severely allergic history. Yes, I know I should not have an indoor pet but I " m sure many of us have sacrificed that risk factor for the emotional comfort, joy and unconditional love that a pet offers. I hope everyone is doing well. We are having very fine weather here. Addy
