Guest guest
I just reached my maintence dose of REGULAR allergy shots and I am doing better. Yes, we have the pollen and especialy MOLD here, but it seems to not be bothering me. Not yet anyway. I am down to 5 mg of pred a day and plan to go to 2 1/2 mg next week. Of course, I am still on my neb machine using xopenex, pulmicort and ipitropium bromide.......and two inhilations of advair a day. When all of those drugs DON'T give me any relief, it is THEN, I consider myself to be having an attack and up my pred. My asthma got really bad 6 months ago after I stopped taking my regular allergy shots. Now, I am fully on them again and my asthma is better. Hmmmmmmmmmm? Is it the Xolair or the regular shots or both? These burning questions will be discussed with my allergist next month when I have my regular follow up appointment with him. My next Xolair injections are this Friday. I told my nurse about how some of you are giving your Xolair at home. After I picked her up off the floor, she gave me my shot LOL! Me? get regular shots or xolair at home? No way! My doctor is too picky. Clear Breating everyone! Doug in Arkansas
