Guest guest
You aren't going to be in a wheelchair in five years, a R! We won't let you. Your DH should stop saying things like that. Send him to us and we'll set him straight. I haven't ever seen a chiropractor. I'm glad you had a better day on Friday, and I hope this weekend was good, too. Guest guest
a R. Don't listen to your DH! I was told by my first RD that I'd be in a wheelchair before I was 30. At 46 I still am not and have no intentions of being in one. We may have to use them while flaring or to enjoy places such as the amusement parks, or to get through surgery, but it won't be part of my everyday life for as long as I can help it. Before I had my knees replaced, the wheelchair seemed inevitable. I know how down you get. When I start thinking about what the future holds, it is depressing. That's why we all have to take each day one at a time and make the best of it. As June said so well, enjoy the good days and on bad days dream of what you'll do when your good days return. I hope you're sleeping better. It's real hard to have a good frame of mind when you can't sleep. Cutting out meat and dairy was great for me. I'll eat meat on occasion, and have dairy on occasion, but it is not part of my everyday diet like it used to be. My husband lived on Tums when we ate meats, and now rarely touches them unless we've had it. He's allergic to most dairy, so he didn't need to cut that out. I went to a chiropractor until even he admitted it was a loosing battle with me because of my heavy limp. I'd get an adjustment, and as soon as I stepped down from the table, I was out of adjustment again. What works best for me is water therapy. I swim as much as I can, and in the winter I'll join a gym that has a pool and keep swimming. It really helps keep my joints as mobile as they can be. a [ ] Feeling a bit better Hi, i am doing a bit better today. Guest guest
Allergies are rampant these days but I am feeling a bit better. I ended up taking a couple puffs of Flovent last night before I went to bed, and am not so tight this morning. I haven't used Flovent in a couple of months. If I could do something effective about my stuffy head I would feel like a million bucks. I also gave myself my weekly allergy shot this morning, so maybe that will help too. It's disappointing that the Xolair couldn't completely control this, but as I indicated in an earlier post, I seem to have less tolerance for wheezing than I did. Nevertheless, I am confident that things would be much worse without it. Greg BTW - we went today for my wife's ultrasound. Definitely another boy. My son went with us and is very excited about having a baby brother. Due date is mid-August.
