Guest guest
to be a part of this group! Bill, your comment about not trying fire is right on! I can only speak for myself, but frankly I had gotten to the point that I felt so badly every day...not being able to breathe, side effects of steroids, headaches from so much albuterol...that even if there was a risk of getting cancer it would be worth it...if I were well I could beat it! While I don't believe in the study that links frequent use of antibiotics to breast cancer, I do believe that my immune system was suffering from all the meds, especially the steroids, and certainly that means increased risk for all kinds of other problems! Not to mention that if you can't breathe, you can't do anything else, can you? I am so glad my pulmo was on to Xolair well before it was approved and talked to me about it early. He gave me copies of published articles to read so that I could make a well informed decision on whether or not to take Xolair. If anyone finds out how to get to this Dr. Lisgard or whatever his name is, let us know. Also, be sure to email Novartis or Genentech and tell them how you feel about Xolair. Lastly, think about this: the long term possibilities for our increasing and continued good health! Take care everyone, Addy
