Guest guest
Rick, It's only a good thing Rusty ordered a new helmet! :-) Personally if his helmet is leaving red marks that last more than an hour I'd keep it off him completely. I'd be afraid it would make his head worse, the fit is obviously wrong. Let us know when the new helmet is in. -- In Plagiocephaly , " Rick " <richard.clemon@...> wrote: > > Went to NOPCO today to have 's Starband adjusted to alleviate > the red spots that we noticed on Saturday. Guest guest
Rick Glad you're getting a new one! I've heard that the old fashioned way making a molde was actually more accurate than the scanning. Did he mention that to you? Guest guest
Rick, Please consider not putting it on his head at all. If it doesn't fit it will cause his head to become more deformed. At three months of age his skull is very pliable. I hope the second STARband is a better fit. --- In Plagiocephaly , " Rick " <richard.clemon@...> wrote: > > Went to NOPCO today to have 's Starband adjusted to alleviate > the red spots that we noticed on Saturday. Guest guest
, I totally agree. It's very possible this current band could cause his head to get worse b/c he's so young. I'd just wait for the new band. -- In Plagiocephaly , " rmanias " <manias@...> wrote: > > Rick, > Please consider not putting it on his head at all. Guest guest
He did mention that he liked molds better then scans. And that the doc prefers them as well but, insurance being what it is and techonology.... We all know this story.... Guest guest
Thanks for the comment on the original band. I will take that into consideration as it will be a lot easier on my wife to not have to deal with it for the next two days... The second band is not going to be an actual Starband rather it is going to be a NOPCO band, made on site by Rusty himself. Rusty stated that he " taught " orthoamerica how to make their bands and can do it better. I have a good feeling about this one. Guest guest
Rick, I can't imagine Rusty taught Orthomerica. Please contact them to verify. If he is so skilled why didn't he notice the band was an improper fit at the fitting? I'd like to point out to you some posts that may be of interest to you. 19801, 119909, 118827 were from Rusty's work. Her baby's head was made worse. Can you switch to another provider or maybe the one recently posted about having success with at NOPCO? Sorry to be telling you this, but I would want to know if I were in your shoes and my child were so very young. > > >> > > Went to NOPCO today to have 's Starband adjusted to > > alleviate > > > the red spots that we noticed on Saturday.
