extreme fatigue / adrenal insufficiency / prednisone

As many of you know, I have been battling extreme fatigue for a

while. I also have taken quite a bit of pred in my life, but

especially in 2003.

I was talking with a friend of mine who is a doc and she said it is

possible the pred has messed up my adrenal glands. I've done a

little bit of research so far, and extreme fatigue is one of the

symptoms of adrenal insufficiency, which can occur after one stops

taking pred when one has taken a lot of it or taken it for a long

time. The major reason we all have to taper off it.

I will follow up with my regular doctor this month and also do some

more research. I'll let you all know what I find out.

Hi Addy,

I am sorry to hear that. I also get extremely tired also. I have been

taking 1 centrum, 1 vitamin b, vitamin c, calcium (which combats the

prednizone), vitamin e, 2 ginger tablets daily. This has helped my

immune system alot in the last couple of years and I dont feel tired

so much (excluding when I get my injections).
