Guest guest
Hello everyone, my name is Pamela and I am 53. I will beginning to take injections of Xolair next month. I have asthma and an obstruction of the small bronchia, which is non-reversible. I had been getting frequent sinus infections also. When my iGe levels were tested they came back double the normal limit, and my pulmonologist suggested starting Xolair. It has taken awhile to get the approval from my insurance company (nearly 5 months) but it seems like next month they will begin. I would like to know what side effects typically are associated with these shots of Xolair. Is swelling near the site usual; what about headaches? I've been known to get migraines occasionally. I'm also a breast cancer survivor of 3 years, so that has to be factored into all other medical decisions too. Looking forward to getting to meet all of you.
