Thanks for letting me know how the injections have helped you. I have

hopes that Xolair will work for me, too.........I guess I was expecting an

instant

fix, and that just didn't happen with the first shots. I then felt lousy for

the first 24 hours after receiving the Xolair, and became very discouraged.

My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary last month with a

trip to Hawaii (courtesy of our children); its the first time we've ever gone

anywhere, as we were too busy raising our four sons to even think about

taking a vacation before now. I tell you all this because I dreaded how my

allergies and asthma would flare up on the islands, but except for a bad

experience

with our first hotel room (it reeked of mold), I was asthma and allergy free

during the entire time we were there. We even hiked up a two mile trail to see

and swim under a beautiful waterfall (where I was completely surrounded by

plants, flowers and trees), and didn't even experience a sniffle!!!!

I had to go out and purchase a portable nebulizer to take on the trip with

me and never had to use it.........however, now that I am home I am back to

using Xopenex in my nebulizer, as well as prednisone, Advair 500, Allegra and

Accolate.

I would love to be able to attend a chat with everyone and am free most

evenings, as my husband works nights and I am usually here alone. I am in

Pennsylvania so its Eastern Standard Time here, but I have no problem with a

late

evening time if it is more convenient for those of you on the west coast. Pick a

time and I will do my best to be there!
