I would give my right arm to be able to give mine at home but my doctor is too picky and WON'T let me! It would save me 120.00 a month out of my pocket after insurance if he would let me but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Sigh Doug
Guest guest
congratulations ron!! i started doing my own injections at the drs office (still do). when the xolair nurse came to show me how i thought she was kidding. who would intentionally jab themselves with a needle?? i was torn between pretending to be brave and hiding under the desk like a five year old....needless to say, i played the brave fool, and a year and a half later, i'm still jabbing myself at the drs office. if anyone asks about your shots, i'll just tell them " i never doubted ron for a moment!! If you look at them as containing fences that don't allow you to advance, then you're going to be a failure. If you look at them as hurdles that strengthen you each time you go over one, then you're going to be a success. If he would let me give all my shots to myself, it would save his office time and me money. But he says that I am such a bad asthmatic tat he is afraid I will have a reaction. Guest guest
I swear I did not choose the 5 year old hiding under the desk thing! (the bump on my head is NOT from the nurse dragging me out from under the table) That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I guess my home shots are a good thing from what everybody says, I will be grateful. I read about " xolair headaches " , can someone explain. My initial short term " headaches " went away after a couple of months of shots, but now 5 days after my shots I'm starting to get them back. I was wondering if they were related or I have something else going on? Thanks Ron On Jul 24, 2005, at 7:58 AM, heather wrote: > congratulations ron!! > > i started doing my own injections at the drs office (still do). > when the xolair nurse came to show me how i thought she was > kidding. who would intentionally jab themselves with a needle?? i > was torn between pretending to be brave and hiding under the desk > like a five year old....needless to say, i played the brave fool, > and a year and a half later, i'm still jabbing myself at the drs > office. > > > if anyone asks about your shots, i'll just tell them " i never > doubted ron for a moment!! Guest guest
I give two of my shots to myself in my stomach. Much easier than anywhere else.
