Good news and bad

I had good news about my insurance coverage yesterday. My rates will

only go up 65.00 a month because of my age. WHEW! In the past few

years it has gone up over 60%. The other good news is that my

prescription co pays (including my xolair) will NOT go up either.

The bad news is that my allergist is in a clinic where they are

having a contract dispute with my Blue Cross insurance. It looks like

they will not have any agreement before the deadline on 10-1. This

means that my doctor will be OUT OF NETWORK and I will have to pay

MUCH more out of pocket for my regular allergy shots, office visits,

tests, x rays and the fee for giving me the xolair.

I will be paying exactly 1001.00 a month for my coverage and the

doctor I see the most will not be in network. sigh!

Well, at LEAST I can get my xolair for a mere 10.00 a shot co pay or

40.00 a month for 4 shots :)

Update on my asthma: I finished a short burst of pred last week and

have been off of it since thursday. My asthma is MUCH better even

though the mold and ragweed is unusually high here in northwest

arkansas.

My doctor is slowly increasing the dosage of my regular allergy

injetions. Hopefully, this is helping :)

My car has been hellish. My immediate suggestion would be: spray with

2 gallons windex, then start the car and run the heater for a few

hours. I'm going to burn the menthol crystals in mine and see if it

works. If it doesn't, I'm going to consider arson.

Ian,Do you know where the fresh air intake is on your car? Should be somewhere right where the windshield wipers are located. Try either the windex or 90% Alcohol in a spray bottle, and with the car running, all windows rolled up with the heater on as hot as you can get it with the fan set on high, spray a ton of this stuff into this area every time you get out of the car. Including spraying the insides. Give it a week and see if it's any better..TrlySent via BlackBerry by AT&TFrom: "Ian" Date: Mon, 16 Feb 2009 22:13:18 -0000<bird mites >Subject: Re: Good news and bad My car has been hellish.
