Guest guest
In preparation to give my Xolair shot last night, I realized (too late) that the pharmacy did not provide 24g needles - only the 18g needles for mixing. Unfortunately, I had already mixed one vial before I discovered this error. I wasn't about to throw away $500 worth of medication, and there was no place to get a replacement needle at the time. Let me tell you something - giving yourself a shot with an 18g needle is nothing to smile at. I called my local pharmacy this morning, and they are going to give me a 24g needle for the other shot, even though I don't have a prescription. I like living in a small town. On another note - 12 hrs after giving myself the shot, the itching has stopped. Also, since I am forced into splitting the doses anyway, I think I am going to wait a week before giving the next shot to see what it does. I'll keep you posted.
