Guest guest
if you have a fever, will your dr allow you to continue with the xolair injections? two weeks ago, i was denied the xolair b/c i was running a 101 temp with a raging sinus infection. (i was able to get it five days later when the infection and fever were gone). today. i had a 99.0 temp. of course, being me, i told the RN it was 98.4, rather than risk having to reschedule again, not to mention they had already mixed it for me. little did i know the thermoeters in the office have a memory recall, so the nurse checked it. it was a HUGE issue. they had me drinking cold water so they could get my temp down before the dr saw it. ultimately, we got it below 99.0 so i got my xolair. its amazing what can happen when you don't put the thermeter under your tongue! =o) i'm sure i'm brewing another sinus infection, but i'm just not in the mood to deal with it. i'm guessing i have another week before it surfaces,so i'll try to get in with the ENT. if my allergist finds out i have another, she'll freak out. she's already sending me to some ENT in the city, and the guy doesn't accept my insurance. anyway, just wondering about the temp thing. thanks heather
