Hi, ,

Good luck on your walk. My advice to you is to listen to your body. Do what

you feel you can if you need some thing remember to ask. It is better than to

make yourself sick or compounding your illness. I am a fellow asthmatic and

sinus sufferer and have done a couple of 3 mile walks it is a lot of fun and you

get to meet others. I am doing another 3 mile walk on September 18 we have our

Asthma Walk-A-Thon in Chicago.

I will be praying for you and your experience that it will be a good one.

Don't forget to breath. If you or we can't breath then what is life.

As Always,

Sr. Volz, C.R.

i get my xolair injections tomorrow afternoon (monday). on tues -

thurs i am " trekking " on fire island with my mom, along with a group

and a national parks ranger. it should be a blast. its a slow paced

walk (they refer to it as " beachcomber pace " ) along the

beach/shoreline, somewhere between 21 and 30 miles over the course of

the three days. the first night we'll be staying in a cabin, the

second night we'll be camping in a campground on the beach.

i'm a little concerned, only because last monday i started in with a

nasty sinus and respitory infection. i saw my dr wednesday for my

regular scheduled xolair appt. due to the fever, she wouldn't give me

the xolair. i started a 5 day antibiotic and expectorant. i'm still

pretty congested and still needing to neb 2-3 times a day, although i

am breathing and feeling much better. my dr is also concerned about

the trip, but i've been looking forward to it for almost a year - i

cannot cancel.

i'm hoping tomorrows xolair dose will provide the stability i need for

the trek. i'm so excited about it - i'll be taking tons of pictures ,

its a beautiful stretch of beach with amazing wildlife. i'll be sure

to put them on line and torture you all with them!!

we're also in the process of moving from our apartment to the house we

renovated. thankfully, school's out this week, so i have time for all

this. i'll check in later in the week.

hope you all have a great week!!
