Guest guest
Hi, all. I am finally recovering from my Ophelia asthma episode and related sinus infection. I'm almost done with the Levaquin and tomorrow I can step down to 10mg pred. I haven't nebbed since Sunday. I am going to get a battery operated neb, because I can't go through that again. Thanks for all your good wishes. Let's work on praying Rita away. Addy
Guest guest
hi addy i'm glad ophelia is behindyou -- in more ways than one. it seems the past few years have been exceptionally bad hurricane seasons..... the battery neb was my best investment. i still use the compressor neb when i'm home (my sinus neb HAS to use the compressor), but when i'm at work, its so nice to just close my door and use my silent battery operated neb. things here seem to be status quo for mid-september. i've been fighting off a sinus infection for weeks. i think the addition of the sin-neb steroids have kept it from progressing, but i'm still getting a rainbow of colored drainage. it seems the last month has been filled with highs and lows of allergic reactions. almost a month ago, i had an awful reaction from veggie picking at my mom's. it took longer for my skin to resume normalcy than it did my lungs. with the flakey weather we've been having, i've been having 2-3 days at a time wherre i'm having a hard time breathing. saturday was the icing on the cake. i went to the college library to meet up with my " group " for a project. maintainance was there, painting hand rails on the stairs. within minutes, my chest got tight. i left and headed back to my car, sounding much like a teapot...again, the battery neb proved helpful. today is the first day in almost 3 weeks where i haven't been counting the hours til my next neb. that's definately a nice feeling! i'm really wondering what this winter will bring. i'm hoping it will be much different (improved) than recent winters. we've added a few meds and such, so here's hoping!! i am not sure i'm ready to go through another 6 month sick span. i hope everyone is doing well.. heather pyle456 <coachmac@...> wrote: Hi, all.
