Guest guest
i do! i think on my third injection, a xolair nurse came to teach me how to do it. i never thought i could, but here i am, 18 months later, doing it all on my own. i get three injections every two weeks. for a while, i'd do one, and the RN at the office would do the other two. eventually i got to do all three, and now i'm unsupervised when i do them. when the RN at the office was doing them, we rotated in three of the four areas (R/L thigh and R/L arm). i can do my left arm without too much trouble (i'm a rightie). my right arm was near impossible. at my request, we switched the right arm to the stomach area. i was mixing the solution myself (i can do it in my sleep) but due to a recently added RN to the office, she mixes it before i get there, so all i need to do is draw it up and shoot it in me. =o) there was talk of me doing the injections at home, but its never happened. i'm not sure if i'm comfortable doing it that way (like if the drug company messed up as they have before, i'd be short supplies or meds). my dr likes me there every 2 weeks b/c she can catch any problems (breathing/infections) before i would normally call and ask for an appt. so, thats my tale. heather <carrie72583@...> wrote: Any one give themselves their shots? How does it work? Where do you put it? (ie how do you reach your arm flab?) Thanks for the info, my xolair nurse and I are curious! Everybody has barriers and obstacles. If you look at them as containing fences that don't allow you to advance, then you're going to be a failure. If you look at them as hurdles that strengthen you each time you go over one, then you're going to be a success. Guest guest
I give myself 3 injections, 1 on each side of my stomach in my flab there, 1 in the leg, per instructions of my nurse. > Any one give themselves their shots? Guest guest
: When I was being taught to do my own Xolair shots, I used the fat on my stomach (hard to believe there is any there...HAHAHAAHA) or could use my thigh. The stomach section didn't hurt too bad at all, much less than the arm flab. ~~Jody <carrie72583@...> wrote: Any one give themselves their shots? How does it work? Where do you put it?
