severe reactions??????????

Hi everyone,

Pat perhaps you can comment. There is a girl on the

webmd board who reported that she stopped xolair after

experiencing 3 severe reactions including one where

she stopped breathing. The xolair was helping her

though, she reports.

Could you comment on anything you have read/heard

about such reactions? Could someone be

allergic/intolerant to an antibody that blocks IgE -

which in turn causes allergy???????

I thought the anaphylaxis rate was like 1/4000 pts or

something like that.
