Guest guest
, Unfortunately, a metallic taste is a pretty frequent side effect for Biaxin. I've had that too, and didn't figure out how to get rid of it. I was only on it for a short time, so I don't know if it goes away. i certainly hope so! Best, Meryl my asthma specialist has increased my daily biaxin from 250mg to 500 mg, in efforts to relieve some of my sinus issues and infection (she's working with my ENT doing this). today was the first dose of 500mg i've taken. about 45 minutes after taking it, i could taste the biaxin - and its lasted 8 hours so far!! nothing helps - food, water, brushing my teeth a hundred times. has anyone else experienced this? am i just weird? its similar to what i experience when i'm put on antibiotics or steroids via IV. i'm on the biaxin at least for 90 days. i'm not sure i can handle this for 90 days!!! thanks heather
Guest guest
Ouch - I can't take biaxin. I can taste it, like you do, but the worst part is the yeast infections. Be sure to eat lots of yogurt. I hope it works. Guest guest
The metallic taste can be abated by drinking grape juice or grapefruit juice with the biaxin and a couple more times a day. Grapefruit juice only if you are not on heart medications. Hope you " taste " better. --------------------------------- Celebrate 's 10th Birthday!
