reminder to get your pressure checked...

....and I don't mean your blood pressure.

Taking lots of prednisone can increase one's risk of getting glaucoma,

particularly if you have anyone in your family who's had it.

Anyone taking pred on a semi-regular basis should see their vision

professional annually and inform them of same. If you no longer need

pred thanks to Xolair (YEAHHHHH!), but you haven't had your vision and

your pressure checked in a while, give yourself an extra

Christmas/Hanukkah/whatever present and make an appointment.

I had mine yesterday, and my pressure is great!

A Bp check would not be a bad idea too....we found out

I was hypertensive almost by chance so do ask your doc

to check it if he/she doesn't do it regularly.
